And so this is Christmas. And what have you done? Another year over. A new one just begun.....John Lennon. What have you done? What didn't you do and wish you had. What would you do over or different if given the chance? Today is a good day to look deep, deep within your self. Do not define "you" by the opinions of others. Do not let their words tell you who you are or how to think. Look into your soul and see what you see. Is is bright or dark...daylight or night....or a combination of both shadow and light? YOU, ME, WE all must start today to be who we really are. Act, don't react. Think, don't blink away tears and hide behind the mask. Step out...step up. Be the better person. Hug someone when they don't expect it. Tell someone how much you really care about them. Admit you're sorry. Don't ever think....I can change this tomorrow. Because too often, too soon, tomorrow doesn't show up and you're left wishing if only....if only....if only....if only...if only...if only...
It's too late....too soon.

THE TONGUE CAN BE YOUR WORST ENEMY!

THE TONGUE CAN BE YOUR WORST ENEMY!

Your words, your dreams, and your thoughts have power to create conditions in your life.
What you speak about, you can bring about.

If you keep saying you can't stand your job, you might lose your job.
If you keep saying you can't stand your body, your body can become sick.
If you keep saying you can't stand your car, your car could be stolen or just stop operating.
If you keep saying you're broke, guess what? You'll always be broke.
If you keep saying you can't trust a man or trust a woman, you will always find someone in your life
To hurt and betray you.
If you keep saying you can't find a job, you will remain unemployed.
If you keep saying you can't find someone to love you or believe in you, your very thought will attract more experiences to confirm your beliefs.
If you keep talking about a divorce or break up in a relationship, then you might end up with it.

Turn your thoughts and conversations around to be more positive and power packed with fait h, hope, love and action.
Don't be afraid to believe that you can have what you want and deserve.

Watch your Thoughts
, they become words.
Watch your Words
, they become actions.
Watch your Actions
, they become habits.
Watch your Habits
, they become character.
Watch your Character
, for it becomes your Destiny.

The minute you settle for less than you deserve, you get even less than you settle for.
Thought I would share this with you.

In the search for Me
, I discovered Truth.
In the search for Truth
, I discovered Love.
In the search for Love
, I discovered GOD.
And in God,
I have found Everything.

Be Blessed

Watch how your circumstances and situations begin to change when you change the way you speak

To Give and Receive

Whatever you give a woman, she will make greater.

If you give her sperm, she'll give you a baby.

If you give her a house, she'll give you a home.

If you give her groceries, she'll give you a meal.

If you give her a smile, she'll give you her heart.

She multiplies and enlarges what is given to her.

So, if you give her any crap, be ready to receive a ton of shit.

Just in case you can't read the text above:

A father asked his 10-year old son if he knew about the birds and the bees.

"I don't want to know," the child said, bursting into tears. "Promise me you won't tell me."
Confused, the father asked what was wrong.

The boy sobbed,
"When I was six, I got the 'There's no Easter Bunny' speech.
At seven, I got the 'There's no Tooth Fairy' speech.
When I was eight, you hit me with the 'There's no Santa' speech.
If you're going to tell me that grown-ups don't really get laid, I'll have nothing left to live for!!"

Kids say the darndest things!!

Being the parents of a 6 and 5 year old I have to say has been one of the MOST entertaining things I've done in my entire life!!! I only expect it to get better and better. I can't wait to be in my mom's position and just see my grandbabies, pump them all full of sugar, give them everything they ask for and then send them back to my kids and say "See ya later!!!" When I read this email I could totally see MY kids saying the exact same thing!!! Enjoy!

When to start Cussing

A 6 year old and a 4 year old are upstairs in their bedroom. 'You know
what?' says the 6 year old. 'I think it's about time we started cussing. The 4 year old nods his head in approval. The 6 year old continues, 'When we go downstairs for breakfast, I'm gonna say something with he!! and you say something with azz..'

The 4 year old agrees with enthusiasm. When the mother walks into the kitchen and asks the 6 year old what he
wants for breakfast, he replies, 'Aw, he!!, Mom, I guess I'll have some Cheerios.'

WHACK! He flies out of his chair, tumbles across the kitchen floor, gets up, and runs upstairs crying his eyes out, with his
mother in hot pursuit, slapping his rear with every step. His mom locks him in his room and shouts, 'You can stay there until I let you out!'

She then comes back downstairs, looks at the 4 year old and asks with a stern voice, 'And what do YOU want for breakfast, young man?'

'I don't know', he blubbers, 'but you can bet your fat azz it won't be Cheerios!'

Election 2008: Where Obama Stands on Family Issues

I pulled this article from the site that I keep the kids baby books on (babyzone)  http://www.babyzone.com/mom_dad/photos_election_2008_Obama/1 I thought it was an interesting read considering these are a lot of the topics that were deciding factors for me.......and a lot of other people I know.

Key education, healthcare, and other family initiatives

By Jennifer Kula

Now that the campaign is over and we're looking ahead to a new era, are you wondering what President-elect Obama intents to do for your family? Check out the issues that matter most. Learn how our next president stacks up on education, health care, and family-friendly initiatives.

Education

Obama proposes a "zero to five" plan to provide support to young children and their parents with early care and education for infants. The plan calls for creating Early Learning Challenge Grants to promote state "zero to five" efforts and help states move toward voluntary, universal pre-school.

No Child Left Behind: Obama plans to improve the assessments used to track student progress to measure readiness for college and the workplace. He also plans to improve NCLB's accountability system to support schools that need improvement, rather than punishing them.

American Opportunity Tax Credit: This is designed to make college affordable by creating a new American Opportunity Tax Credit. The universal and fully refundable credit would ensure that the first $4,000 of a college education is completely free for most Americans, and would cover two-thirds the cost of tuition at the average public college or university and make community college tuition free for most students.

In his main initiative to improve education for all Americans, the Vice President-elect wants to make 16 years of education a standard, with both pre-school and college attendance more accessible and affordable. He supports doubling the number of students in Head Start and quadrupling the number in Early Head Start. He supports tax credits toward college expenses ($3,000 for those making under $150,000 annually) and expanded federal financial aid. For the in-between years he advocates smaller classroom size and better pay for teachers.

No Child Left Behind: According to the Delaware
Senator's website, Senator Biden wants to see NCLB improved by giving schools greater flexibility in evaluating student performance and by fully funding education. President Bush has underfunded the program by $85 billion, Biden believes. In other forums, Biden has been more blunt, calling his 2001 Senate vote for the bill a mistake and saying the program ought to be "junked" and started again from scratch. "You need better teachers. You need smaller classrooms. You need to start kids earlier," he told CNN in 2007. "It's all basic."

Healthcare

Obama proposes a new national health plan available to all Americans, including the self-employed and small businesses. The plan includes guaranteed eligibility, meaning that no American would be turned away from any insurance plan because of illness or preexisting conditions. The benefit package would be similar to that offered through Federal Employees Health Benefits Program (FEHBP), the plan members of Congress have. The proposed plan would cover all essential medical services, including preventive, maternity, and mental health care. The plan includes affordable premiums, co-pays, and deductibles, and offers subsidies to those who do not qualify for Medicaid or State Children's Health Insurance Program (SCHIP) but still need financial assistance.

The plan also requires that all children have healthcare coverage. Obama proposes expanding the number of options for young adults to get coverage, including allowing young people up to age 25 to continue coverage through their parents' plans.

"The 21st century starts with the promise of even greater advances in healthcare and the treatment of diseases. If we take the right steps now, we will be able to live fuller and longer lives," says Biden. His priorities include expanding health insurance to cover all, starting with children. Some costs of expanded coverage could be met by getting rid of $100 billion in redundant services and administration, he says. Other reforms that he backs to improve the system would be helping medical students finance their tuition, so they would be free to pursue a career in community care or general practice without financial hardship, and refocusing the medical system on prevention and wellness to reduce catastrophic and chronic care costs.

According to an
MSNBC report on the healthcare plan Biden proposed early in the presidential primary, the Vice President-elect candidate wants to allow uninsured adults to buy in to a program like the health insurance that members of Congress and federal employees get. They would pay on a sliding scale based on their income, and small businesses would share costs with the government.

Biden has voted to maintain and protect Medicare and Medicaid and to make them more effective and efficient (including at fraud detection). He has also been a leading advocate for breast cancer prevention and detection, by voting for research funding and for legislating that reconstructive surgery be covered for survivors and that mammograms be readily available to low-income or uninsured women.

Family-Friendly Initiatives

Family and Medical Leave Act: Obama plans on expanding the FMLA to cover businesses with 25 or more employees, and to allow workers to take leave for elder care needs; to allow parents up to 24 hours of leave each year to participate in their children's academic activities at school; to allow leave to be taken for purposes of caring for individuals who reside in their home for six months or more; and to cover leave for employees to address domestic violence and sexual assault.

Taxation: The President-elect proposes creating a "Making Work Pay" tax credit of up to $500 per person, or $1,000 per working family. Obama's plan also calls for increasing the number of working parents eligible for earned income tax credit (EITC) benefits; increasing the benefit available to parents who support their children through child support payments; and reducing the EITC marriage penalty. Under the Obama plan, full-time workers making minimum wage would get an EITC benefit up to $555. If the workers are paying child support, the plan would give those workers a benefit of $1,110.

Paid Sick Time: Obama's plan would require that employers provide seven paid sick days per year.

Family and Women's Issues

Family Medical Leave Act: Biden fought for the Family and Medical Leave Act that has given 50 million workers up to 12 weeks of unpaid leave to look out for a sick family member. As there are many more workers who cannot afford unpaid leave, he is co-sponsoring the Healthy Families Act, which would require employers with 15 or more workers to provide seven paid sick days to care for their own or their families' medical needs.

Domestic Violence: Senator Biden wrote the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) in the 1990s that set the national agenda on criminalizing violence against women and holding batterers truly accountable. This empowered women to make changes in their lives, and trained police and prosecutors to arrest and convict abusive husbands instead of telling them to take a walk around the block. Since this policy change, domestic violence and rape reports are down by more than 50 percent nationwide. But sadly more work remains, says Biden. In 2007, he introduced the National Domestic Violence Volunteer Attorney Network Act, an initiative that would recruit volunteer lawyers and match them with domestic violence victims.

Puppies in the White House!

Ok, so it's not Obama's official stance. But as he said in his acceptance speech, his daughters Sasha and Malia will be getting the family dog they've been asking for throughout his campaign once they arrive at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave.

Friend's response to "Because He's Black"

This was copied from one of my other blogs in response to "Because he is Black....."  I thought it was moving enough to post as it's own blog!!
Thank You Fuss for these words!!  (In case you don't follow the link to her profile...she lives outside of the USA) :)

Obama has been a senator for appx 4 years he is young, only 47..it took me a good 10 years to really understand and appreciate motherhood..and that the experience gained helped me with each child that came along..to be more tolerant, understanding, more creative etc.,

Obama is black of Nigerian background, his immediate family have nothing to do with the American blacks that went thru hell and high water treated to the most degrading situations and surviving it all thru their faith. Comparing OBAMA to black American slaves is irrelevant since his past or that of his ancestors has nothing to do with the AMERICAN history that was forged with blood and toil.

He is a man of colour mixed white and black, and the first one to be elevated to a prestigious position..in the army u would call it jumping rank..and obama did it..he moved forward in leaps and bounds, where others before him have barely trodden let alone stood.

I am glad that he won over Hillary and all her experience even tho she too would have been an addition to American history as being the first woman to win..but she didn't and that is fine..Hillary didn't do it for me, a feminist and i dont think she did it for anyone else either.

Obama represents multiculturalism in its purest form, he is a little of everything, sort of a pot potpourri of colours, race, and religion, he represents all those things that people fight and kill for..all in the one person.
I am hoping that his dream of change will become America's reality.

don't forget he doesn't work alone, and there will be ppl that will be sitting there waiting to pounce on his every move to assure he fails. The American ppl voted for change, they believed that he would be the one to deliver..now we all have to sit it out and see where and how that change will come about..first and foremost..he needs to address the economy, ppl are losing their life's savings, their jobs, their pensions, their houses..health care needs to be addressed..it is insanity that ppl do not go to the doctor coz they cant afford it and good men and woman are dying in vain..in the richest country in the world..when u look at it is not much different than 3rd world health care.
He needs to stick to his promises and keep them to the best of his ability of course allowing for changes in situations and circumstances.

I loved McCain coz he gave his all for America, America the country based on a constitution, a country based on flag and serving for the good of all, so many wonderful things that has made America the great country that it is..and people take issue with the fact that Obama wasn't willing to show that side of himself, not to appease the crowds by pledging allegiance to the flag even in a conciliatory manner
ppl take issue with that, coz they have sons, daughter, relatives etc., fighting in countries far and wide who are dying for their flag..i can understand that would offend many people.
Still Obama is not a black man, he is also a white man, coz in colour coding him we are no different than all the racists, pure and simple he is a man..who has been given a very tough job which he believes that he can pull off..and i pray for him and more importantly for the american people that he succeeds..for the betterment of ur own and everyone else. Godspeed to him, his success is your success and his failure will be urs to..(not urs personally - but collectively..Mabruk hatch on your new President, Inchalla he gets the job done and achieve what others have only dreamed about..
Salam Alechum..fuss

Because He's Black

Thought provoking!

This older white guy asked his older black friend, 'Are you voting for Barack Obama just because he's black'?

So the older black guy fires back and says, 'Are you not voting for him because he's black?

Why can't I vote for him just cause he's black?

Hell in this country men are pulled over everyday just cause they're black, passed over for promotions just cause they're black, considered to be criminals just cause they're black, but you don't seem to have a problem with that.

This country was built with the sweat and whip off the slaves back, and now a descendent of those same slaves has a chance to lead the same country where we weren't even considered to be people. A country where we weren't allowed to be educated, drink from the same water fountains, eat in the same restaurants, or even vote, so you damn right I'm going to vote for him!

But not just because he's black.

But because he is hope, he is change, and he now allows me to understand when my grandson says he wants to be president when he grows up, it is not a fairy tale but a short term goal. Now he sees, understand, and knows, he can achieve, withstand, and do anything just because he's black!

I'm just so confused......

You know...I've been trying to watch these debates and trying to really understand what is going on and I feel like the biggest idiot in the world!!!

Why is it that the answers to the questions are not clear to me from EITHER party?

Why can't there ever just be a yes or no answer?

Why is there all this long winded explanation which then makes me forget the original question to begin with!! Ya know???

It also leaves me extremely confused as to who or which way to go!! I'm even confused on the fact of if I'm still registered or what!! Does anyone know how to find out? I've never really voted before and the way I'm feeling now, not sure if I'm going to again!! I'm just not sure that my one little vote is going to make that big a difference! I've learned to just make the necessary adjustments and deal with whatever is going on!

Does anyone else feel the same way or am I alone with this??

Hurricane Ike Photos!!

I just HAD to share one of my phone calls with you guys from this morning. I laughed so hard that I had tears in my eyes!!!!!

Caller: My computer will not power up at all. I have one monitor that will not turn on either. No errors, just no power.

ME: You have already attempted to reboot the system?

Caller: Yes and there is nothing, no green lights or anything.

ME: OK, we have had several machines have to be replaced I will contact local support and get them to come assess the damage to your workstation.

Caller: Oh, I have a note here that says my workstation was affected by Hurricane Ike, Is that why my system won't power up??

ME: (Stiffling laughter) - Yes, ma'am. Someone should be there shortly to replace your CPU as well as assess any other damage to your workstation.

Caller: Oh, ok! There isn't anything you can do to get my system powered up? (Remember, I work Downtown, she is in the Greenway Plaza area (about 20 min away)

ME: No ma'am. You will need to wait for local support to stop by your workstation. Most likely they already know about it, since you had a note advising you of the damage.

I think that last statement FINALLY hit home and a light bulb came on and she got off the phone!!!!! ROFLMAO

Anyway, received a lot of pics and emails today .......thought I'd share those as well :)

These are pictures of Galveston Island, Surfside Texas Crystal Beach, Port Bolivar and the Houston area.

The short - but eventful - life of Ike

In its brief lifespan of only 13 days, Hurricane Ike wreaked great deal of havoc. Affecting several countries including Cuba, Haiti, and the United States, Ike is blamed for approximately 114 deaths (74 in Haiti alone), and damages that are still being tallied, with estimates topping $10 billion. Many shoreline communities of Galveston, Texas were wiped from the map by the winds, storm surge and the walls of debris pushed along by Ike - though Galveston was spared the level of disaster it suffered in 1900.

I have a friend that works in that building and she sent me these as well:

(I was trying to post them, but this isn't working so I've uploaded to an album in my profile called IKE) I live here and I'm amazed at all the glass on the ground!! Just WILD

Alive and Well in Houston after Hurricane IKE!!

I really don't have much time, but I wanted to get something posted as fast as I can to let anyone who was worried about us here in Houston know that we are all fine!!

As you know we were moving Thursday and Friday, so Friday the cable guy was suppose to come and hook up the cable and internet. They cancelled all installations till Sept 26th ... so no internet at the new house till the 26th!

The blessing: The house we moved from STILL has NO power right now!! AND the neighbor behind us, their HUGE tree fell into our backyard so there is no fence in the back at all anymore.

The new house: Lost power for about 4 hours on Sat morning. No water for 3 days, but mom had me fill a bathtub up on Friday night so we had toilet flushing water and brushing teeth water at least :) We have Sparkletts delivery so we had plenty of drinking water!

My mother, who lives on the north side of Houston (Spring) is still without power since Friday night. Phone service goes in and out as well, so it's hard to let family members know if you are OK or not. I've been lucky that the company has business continuity and we were invited to stay here if we needed to OR for the family they provided hotel rooms! All Blessings!!

At this point the schools have pretty much been closed for the week and I'm off from work for the rest of the week....we've been here pretty much since Thursday......I got here Sunday and we've just been kinda dealing!

NOW, I'm going to go home and set up all my furniture that got just thrown in the house on Friday when we were trying to beat IKE ....we finished moving stuff at 4PM Friday and by 7PM we were being rained on by IKE.....we pretty much moved the entire 3 bedroom house in ONE day! My mother helped us out .... and that is another BLESSING!!! I love my mother!!!!

I'll see about getting pictures posted BUT if you go to http://www.chron.com/ (local newspaper site) there are slideshows and such you can see from Galveston. Look for the before and after shot of Crystal Beach....just sad all those homes are GONE! KEMA is a place we used to go a LOT .... doesn't look like we'll be there anytime soon!! :(

Like I said I'll try to get back here sometime this week, but not sure if I will be able to. Just wanted you to know that we are OK. A little dishelved, but alive and together!!! GOD Bless :)

Another bout with ID-10-T Disease!!

My oh my oh my!!! This disease is running RAMPANT through the world!!! ROFL

Last week I sent a message to our electric company, Cirro Energy, in order to have our service transferred to the new address. I received an email from them yesterday advising that they need $400 deposit in order to set up new service at the new address.

Now, we have had Cirro Energy the entire YEAR that we have lived at the house we are moving out of. They had sent me a notice to "re-new" my service with them which I had just done LAST month!! During renewal I signed up for the fixed price for the year.

So naturally, I call Cirro. I said to them, why do I need a deposit to transfer my newly renewed service from one address to another. The guy says to me, Due to account history we will now require a deposit. I ask what do you mean by account history. He says to me, well, you had your lights disconnected for a day in May and then again in July. So, calmly, I asked him so in order to keep my service at this address were you guys going to bill me $400 for the next year?? He says No ma'am we wouldn't charge the deposit on existing service. So I say, then why am I being charged a deposit to MOVE my existing service to the new house??? He says well, this would be considered new service. So I ask, what happens to the year of service I just renewed? He says well, that renewal is for that address only. So I'm just trying to clarify......

If I stay in this house then my service continues with no issues, but if I decide to move then I have to pay $400 to have my service moved with me. He says "Yes" I said thank you very much.....I will be calling a different service provider!!! LATER!!

My brave lil guy!!!!

Hey all!

I'm so proud of my lil man!! Once we all got home and got some sleep Sunday morning, he slept WONDERFULLY in his bed! He was up at the crack of dawn and advised us that he had eaten some breadsticks and his throat was kind of sore! He then tells us that he's so glad he's out of the hospital AND that he's glad he had his surgery. He can breathe better. Later on he was singing and he says to me "Mommy, listen, I can sing better!!!" He's referring to the slight change in his voice. The nasal sound he used to have is completely gone and he sounds crystal clear now!!! His throat of course is sore at times, but for the most part he has made a complete turn around and seems like a completely different little boy!!!!

I have to admit, hearing him say that he's glad he had the surgery done sure makes me feel a whole lot better as his mom and having to make the decision to have it done. If I'd known he'd have so much relief I would have done it 2 years ago when he first started having the problems with his sleep apnea.

He even did well enough in the hospital to get sent home with no c-pak!! (sp?) I was going to see if I could post the videos of his sleeping before his surgery and then record him now after surgery, but the videos were giving me a hard time so I scrapped it....just trust me....he even retains his color while sleeping. His lips used to turn purple while he was asleep from the lack of oxygen. I'm just so thankful that everything worked out like it was suppose to!!!

Now Sunday afternoon since he was feeling so much better. Mom and I packed up the kids rooms (chest of drawers and toy chest) and all my husband and I clothes and everything that was in my closet and all the dishes that weren't being used from the kitchen as well as all the dirty clothes and filled up her car and our SUV and moved it all over to the new house. Set everything up where it was suppose to be and brought all the empty boxes back to the old house. While I'm at work today and my daughter is at school, hubby should be filling the boxes up again with other stuff. Computer desk and movie shelf and so forth. When I get off we will drop that stuff off so that way come Wednesday when we get the rental truck with the dolly we can move the beds, computer desk, bookshelves, and chest of drawers, oh and the kitchen table as well. So we should be done with the old house no later than Thursday morning!!!

Hopefully, I'll be online at the new place by Thursday, but if not then I'll be here at work :)

I'm still going to have to work out a prorated amount of rent for Sept with my old landlord....I figure we can do that from the deposit he's suppose to be giving back to us.

I don't even wanna talk about the hospital bill. As most of you know I'm a contractor at this company for 2+ years now. Part of putting off the surgery was to wait on insurance. At the time I thought I would only have to wait 1.5 years, but when I hit the 2 year mark I decided no longer can wait and once we had him looked at by the Ear, Nose and Throat guy he said the same thing. Can't wait any longer. They were trying to re-schedule because the hospital said they did not want to leave us with such a huge bill. I thought to myself, so then don't!!! Just don't charge that much!! hehe, yeah right!! Then they said they wanted half.....again...yeah right!!! At the time for the outpatient procedure that would have been about $1800! That would have been half! I said look....I have put this off for 2 years. I'm not an idiot, I know what kind of insurance I have.....I'm expecting a big bill, can you just work with us here!?!? She says OK, what can you pay today, I said $300! They said let's talk to the doctor!!! ROFL

Dr. Albright says if we put it off, no more than a week, the child is suffering! The hospital says OK, take the $300 and let him have the surgery!! AT this point I have NO idea what the bill has jumped to and I'm seriously not stressing about it. I figured once they get what they can from the little contract insurance I do have, then they will definitely let me know what I owe them. I figured I can pay $20 to $50 a month and they will be happy with that!!! At least they will have to be!!!!

Tonsillectomy

For those of you that were wondering......I just popped in for a sec.

KJ surgery went very well. Afterwards though he is having issues with his oxygen levels...nature of his sleep apnea so the hospital ended up admitting him to the hospital and he will prolly be here all weekend. Right now he is still on an oxygen mask when he sleeps, but when he's awake the machine only goes off every once in a while. (It sounds an alarm when his oxygen falls below 92)

Poor guy has got it down to a science....when he hears the alarm when he's awake he immediately grabs his oxygen mask and puts it on his face and takes a few deep breaths to get the oxygen.

At this point I'm just relieved to see him getting better. I was really scared when he was in recovery, I guess cuz the nurses were making such a big fuss after him and watching him.

I have to say that IMMEDIATELY sounds a ton better!!! He is prolly getting the BEST sleep he has had in 3 years being in here!!!

My Nightmare!!

You know...the devil just never ever quits!!!!!

We were all excited and ready to go with this new townhouse. I get a call at work on Friday from the rental lady advising us that we were declined because we are showing as being evicted from our house 2 years ago. I was so angry! She says to me, call this number and see if we can't get it straightened out. The address they were giving for eviction was the same one we showed as a forclosure!!! The rental company will work with foreclosure's but will not work with evictions. Hence, this is where all my drama begins!!!

I then call the people at Resident Data. This is the company the rental company uses to check credit reports and such. They are telling me that they show the loan on the property was closed as an eviction. I ask them how could I possibly be evicted from someplace I was not living??? The loan company was called the DAY we moved to be advised that we were out of the house and that the repairs it so desperately needed could be taken care off before placed back on the market! We had been talking to Wells Fargo the entire time because we started out wanting a loan to fix the house. They tell me I have to contact Wells Fargo.

So hence, more drama! I contact Wells Fargo and they proceed to confirm that this was indeed a forclosure on this property and not an eviction. I then proceed to ask her to please put that information on the company letter head and fax to the rental company. They are holding the apartment and I'm not sure if they will hold it for 7 to 10 business days for a mailed letter to get to me. She says sure no problem. I then ask if she can also fax me a copy.

Well about 1 or 2 PM I still haven't received this fax so I call Wells Fargo back. The first idiot I talked to tells me that a forclosure and an eviction is the same thing and there isn't anything I can do to change that. That is just how it gets reported. Needless to say I hung up on her. The next idiot was no better. He insists there isn't anything they can do, I will just simply have to wait the 7 to 10 business days. I ask for his supervisor, and he transfers me to a voicemail. I called back yet again!!! This time I asked for a supervisor right off the bat. I politely explained to them I refused to go through the entire story again just to have them tell me they can't help when clearly the first lady thought there was a way to help!! So with much convincing and dropping a few "lawyer" and "BBB" comments he finally decides to transfer me to a supervisor. I politely remind him that it would be wise not to patch me through to a voicemail!!

Whoo hooo, I finally get a real live manager on the phone! I go through the ENTIRE story again and guess what, he frikin READS the dang letter out of my file notes that was supposed to be faxed to me!!!??? I was floored that he read it to me word for word, now I'm really wondering what was the other 3 idiots problem!!!?? OK?? He tells me that he's going to copy the letter into a document and print on their letterhead and fax to the rental company. The rental company finally gets this fax and the lady faxes it to the Resident Data place. I now have that managers name and number!!

Now the entire long weekend passes while my family and I are wondering are we really going to have someplace to live or are we going to have to start looking all over again!? And then when I start looking how many other places are going to pull up this eviction???

So finally, Tuesday, I called the rental company again and they tell me that Resident Data has still not cleared the file as approved. I then call Resident Data and they tell me that they have the letter, but the letter doesn't say that the eviction was reported in error. All it said was that this property was indeed forclosed on. So I call Wells Fargo, the manager directly, I kept that number just in case!!! hehe I have to leave him a voice mail. When he calls me back I tell him what Resident Data wants and ask him if I can call him back with them on the phone, he says sure.

I call Resident Data back and I get this chick that really doesn't want to help but I get her to hold anyway so I can call the manager from WF again. He doesn't answer!!! I was like UGH!!!!! So I get her to leave exactly what they want on his voice mail and I hang up. I decided to try back a few minutes later and guess what, he answers!!! So this time I make him wait while I called Resident Data back. NOW, I've got all the people suffering from ID-10-T disease on the phone can you guys PLEASE fix this issue!!!!

They go back and forth for about 3 minutes about the wording on the stoopid letter when I finally just cut in and said, You know, why is this so hard??? She is TELLING you that it is NOT an eviction can't you just type that up in your stoopid system and be done with this crud??? No, it has to be in writing. They are fighting over how to word a stoopid letter while my family and I are waiting to see if we are gonna have a frikin place to move into!!!! Resident Data wants the letter to say that it was filled in error as an eviction. WF is saying it wasn't an error because we never filed an eviction!!! Come to find out it's reported from the dang COURT system!!! HELLO! WF sent a constable to make sure the property was indeed vacated and of course the city put it down as an eviction!!!!

At this point I gave up on the townhouse. There was just no way they are going to not rent this townhouse out for 15 days to wait on paperwork from Wells Fargo to fix the reporting error. I called the rental truck and changed it to next Wednesday!! And went and took me a break from the phone. As soon as I get back to the phone the rental lady for the townhouse called and I just told her I know you can't hold the townhouse and if someone wants to rent it I completely understand. She says, Sweetie, I just got an "approval with exceptions" from Resident Data!! My heart just skipped a beat cuz at this point I had just given up on that place!!! She said she didn't know what the exceptions were cuz the manager had to get that information, but she'd call me back before I left work.

She called me back around 3:30 and says. You sitting down? I'm like yeah. She says, If I type up the lease can you come sign it today?? I was like

HECK YEAH!!!!

I'm not sure who's heart GOD touched, but I'm truly grateful and so glad that I am getting better at this! I used to get so mad with these people that I'd start cussing them out and then of course I'd get hung up on and still no issue resolved. I've learned that if I use big words very calmly that it tends to get things done and if you do it right, they realize how dumb they are all by themselves!!!

It's sad also, that Wells Fargo has brought me to posting about them twice now! And this time I have not been a customer of theirs for almost a year!!!

I'm just thankful GOD saw fit to work it all out for us and get me in contact with all the right people. So we pick up the keys tomorrow, but we decided to wait till after KJ's surgery to actually move everything, specially since the truck rental was already moved to next Wednesday!!

Home Sweet Home

Well, we found a place to live!!! AND we did it before deadline!! HAHAHAI was really wanting to get outta here by the first, but it's not gonna happen. I wish the above pictured home was our new home, but I am in la la land!! haha We found a cozy but spacious 2 bedroom, 2.5 bath townhome. I was worried about our electricity bill at first and running the AC at 65 all day like my husband does with a 2 story, but once we got there it was all good cuz it's covered nicely by shade on the main side that needed to be!

Now, time to clean up around here and get my deposit back!! The good thing is the deposit we are expecting is more than we had to pay to move in so we got a little extra expected to come our way :) I guess that also depends on how much he'll charge us for the days past the 1st we are here.

So this week will be crazy....I have reserved a truck to move on Wednesday and Thursday. And my son's surgery is on Friday! My manager's mother had brain surgery on this past Thursday and did not fair well. She will pass away once they remove her from life support. Another co-worker and I will be working 8 hour shifts/5 days for the next 2 weeks to cover for her. I just ask that you keep us all in your prayers and pray we get through this week and survive with our entire mind in tact!!!

I will try to get word on my son's surgery posted as soon as I can. I have already placed my move request with Comcast, so we'll see how long it takes them to get us moved and up and running!! Not to mention all the other utilties!

Here's to LIFE!!

Ugh ..... Life

I have to honestly say, LIFE would be boring if it wasn't for the stuff that comes at us on a daily basis!!!!

Right now, I'm not sure if I want to cry, laugh, or just lay down and act like I'm dead so I don't have to deal!! LOL

The kids are starting school this Thursday. Saturday we spent ALL day getting school supplies and uniforms and socks, shoes and hair styles and all this in order for the first day of school. We got to meet their new teachers and stuff. KJ is all excited for school now since he got the teacher he wanted. Whereas Aloria's excitement kinda died when she found that she's in the "mean" teachers class. But it helped to find out all the friends she was looking for from Kindergarten were all going to be in that class as well! LOL

Right now I'm so LIVID with my landlord I am seeing double!!!!! I can't even call and talk to him about getting my deposit back just cuz I'm afraid I'll say something that will end up back firing on me in some kinda way!!! Friday when I got home there was a letting from the Landlord. He has decided that he wants to sell the property. He cannot sell to us unless we want to move out for 2 months then move back in. He wants to make repairs and then put on the market for sale. We have been given 30 days to move out!! I understand this is his legal right and he's given his legal amount of notice.

What makes me mad is the fact that I talk to this guy EVERY month!!!! He's come to the house to pick up rent before!! He could have told me 6 months ago that he planned on putting this house on the market at the end of our lease!! I just paid to have the cable all hooked up which will now have to be paid to switch to new house. KJ's surgery has been scheduled for Sept 5th which is NOW the same week we will have to move if we get the house that we looked at in the middle of all the school supply shopping. I really like the house but he wants someone to move in on the 1st of the month. So that is 2 weeks away!! I'd have to get my deposit back from current landlord before we actually move out, I wonder if he'd do it after putting us in a MESSED up situation to begin with!!! I'm just so aggitated with this guy it's not even funny!!!

GOD says the same, we will get moved into the new house and my son's surgery will go off without a hitch and I can continue putting in OT hours for this project at work!!

5 MINUTE MANAGEMENT COURSE

Lesson 1:

A man is getting into the shower just as his wife is finishing up her shower, when the doorbell rings.
The wife quickly wraps herself in a towel and runs downstairs. When she opens the door, there stands Bob, the next-door neighbor.

Before she says a word, Bob says, 'I'll give you $800 to drop that towel." After thinking for a moment, the woman drops her towel and stands naked in front of Bob, after a few seconds, Bob hands her $800 and leaves.

The woman wraps back up in the towel and goes back upstairs. When she gets to the b athroom, her husband asks, 'Who was that?'

'It was Bob the next door neighbor,' she replies.

'Great,' the husband says, 'did he say anything about the $800 he owes me?'

Moral of the story:

If you share critical information pertaining to credit and risk with your shareholders in time, you may be in a position to prevent avoidable exposure.

Lesson 2:

A priest offered a Nun a lift. She got in and crossed her legs, forcing her gown to reveal a leg.
The priest nearly had an accident After controlling the car, he stealthily slid his hand up her leg.

The nun said, 'Father, remember Psalm 129?'

The priest removed his hand. But, changing gears, he let his hand slide up her leg again.
The nun once again said, 'Father, remember Psalm 129?'

The priest apologized 'Sorry sister but the flesh is weak.'

Arriving at the convent, the nun sighed heavily and went on her way.

On his arrival at the church, the priest rushed to look up Psalm 129. It said, 'Go forth and seek, further up, you will find glory.'

Moral of the story:

If you are not well informed in your job, you might miss a great opportunity.

Lesson 3:

A sales rep, an administration clerk, and the manager are walking to lunch when they find an antique oil lamp.

They rub it and a Genie comes out. The Genie says, "I'll give each of you just one wish."
"Me first! Me first!" says the admin clerk. "I want to be in the Bahamas , driving a speedboat, without a care in the world."
Puff! She's gone.

"Me next! Me next!" says the sales rep. "I want to be in Hawaii , relaxing on the beach with my personal masseuse, an endless supply of Pina Coladas, and the love of my life."

Puff! He's gone.

"OK, you're up," the Genie says to the manager.
The manager says, " I want those two back in the office after lunch."

Moral of the story:

Always let your boss have the first say.

Lesson 4

An eagle was sitting on a tree resting, doing nothing.

A small rabbit saw the eagle and asked him, "Can I also sit like you and do nothing?"
The eagle answered: "Sure, why not."

So, the rabbit sat on the ground below the eagle and rested. All of a sudden, a fox appeared, jumped on the rabbit and ate it.

Moral of the story:

To be sitting and doing nothing, you must be sitting very, very high up.

Lesson 5

A turkey was chatting with a bull.

"I would love to be able to get to the top of that tree" sighed the turkey, "but I haven't got the energy."
"Well, why don't you nibble on some of my droppings?" replied the bull. "They're packed with nutrients."

The turkey pecked at a lump of dung, and found it actually gave him enough strength to reach the lowest branch of the tree.. The next day, after eating some more dung, he reached the second branch. Finally after a fourth night, the turkey was proudly perched at the top of the tree.

He was promptly spotted by a farmer, who shot him out of the tree.

Moral of the story:

Bull Crap might get you to the top, but it won't keep you there..

Lesson 6

A little bird was flying south for the winter. It was so cold the bird froze and fell to the ground into a large field. While he was lying there, a cow came by and dropped some dung on him.

As the frozen bird lay there in the pile of cow dung, he began to realize how warm he was. The dung was actually thawing him out! He lay there all warm and happy, and soon began to sing for joy.
A passing cat heard the bird singing and came to investigate.

Following the sound, the cat discovered the bird under the pile of cow dung, and promptly dug him out and ate him.

Morals of the story:

(1) Not everyone who craps on you is your enemy.

(2) Not everyone who gets you out of crap is your
friend.

(3) And when you're in deep crap, it's best to keep
your mouth shut!

THUS ENDS THE FIVE MINUTE MANAGEMENT COURSE

FOOTBALL!!!!!!!!

As you can see from my Reggie Bush Avi, it's time for Football Baby!!!! I have already selected 3 of my prolly 6 league teams I will be participating in this season so this is when I become scarce around here and spend all my time at NFL.com or Yahoo Fantasy sports!!!! I haven't decided if I'll blog about my games yet or not .... I just didn't have the time last year, but we'll see. Maybe I'll come up with a cool way to just post my stats or something....Last year I ended up in 2nd place in one league and 3 in another. The year before it was 3rd only. At least I'm getting better every year!!! I'll still read all your posts since I have them set up on RSS feeds anyway :) Does anyone else play fantasy football?????

Healthy Living and weight loss......

My children had their yearly check-up a couple of weeks ago. We brought some concerns we had about my son to her attention. I thought my son was suffering from Sleep Apnea. Turns out we were right. She sent us to see a Nose, Throat, Ear specialist and they confirmed he has it bad. We have now scheduled him for surgery September 5th to have his tonsils and his adenoids removed. I know this surgery is so simple now a days, but it doesn't change the fear of seeing your 5 year old child go in to have surgery!! Once this surgery is over I'm hoping it will help to get us all more active and living each day. My son is overweight just like the rest of us. He is 48" tall and is weighing in at 97.5 lbs. My daughter at 6 years old is 52.5" tall and weighs in at 101 lbs. Granted they are tall for their age, but we still must get the weight under control. They have both been prescribed water only for the entire school year. I've decided to join this regimine with them (except for coffee, I can't give it up entirely) Not to mention healthy recipes with veggies and all!

I have also started a profile at Healthy Living. I am going to use their weight management journal to start a serious goal of loosing 100lbs. I have set a goal to loose it by the time I'm 40. That is 5 years. If I can't reach this goal by then something is seriously wrong with me!! LOL But instead of blogging about football we may be out in the backyard playing instead!!! hehe

SYTYCD - Top 4 - Finale!!!

Tonight's guest judge is Mandy Moore. I LOVE the DVR!!! I'm pausing so I can type and when I'm ready, I'll go...hehe I know...I'm soooooo late!! Tonight everyone dances with everyone so let's get started. Plus we got mini interviews before their last solo!!

Twitch (Hip-Hop) & Courtney (Contemp): Hip-Hop - Tabitha & Napolean - Courtney I think could have cut it a little harder in some places, but overall, that was great performance! Twitch is always great in his element and Courtney has shown us before that she can pull off hip-hop. Courtney plays a great disgruntled girlfriend. She had the finger waving and everything. Great characters and great performance. (I really hope Twitch and Josh still do hip-hop)

Courtney Solo: Contemporary - She is from New York and she auditioned in Charleston. Sonya's jazz routine with Mark was her favorite. She has a boyfriend named Brett. You can really see the improvement in her solos, but I still see a lot of the same ole same ole. She's a great dancer and I think she earned every minute of her Top 4 experience and should enjoy it!! The judges talked about her growth and Nigel advised her to teach.

Joshua (Hip-Hop) & Katee (Contemp): Contemporary - Wade Robson - That was so sweet. I'm so amazed everytime I see Joshua dance! You would swear he's been taking ballet or something since he was like 5! He is definitely one of the most brilliant I've seen since this show started and partnered with Katee, well just amazing!!

Katee (Contemp) & Courtney (Contemp): Broadway - Tyce Diorio - I didn't really care for this routine. It was OK, but I thought Courtney pulled it off better, but Nigel gave props to Katee. I just thought it would have been a little bit more. There was just something missing for me.

Twitch Solo: Hip-Hop - He is from Montgomery Alabama, and he got his name because he couldn't be still. He was going to join the Navy if he didn't make it to the Top 20. He wanted to be partnered with Kherington. The Vienesse Waltz choreographed by Jean-Marc was his favorite because of the sentimental connection to Jean-Marc's handicapped daughter. Another terrific solo! Nigel tells him he loved it when he was bottom 3 because they got to see him dance solo. Mandy Moore calls him the little engine that could. Nigel also commented on his comedy in his routines. He's also one of the BEST! I want to see them bring him back to choreograph routines next year!! He's would be a GREAT addition to the show and hip-hop routines.

Joshua (Hip-Hop) & Twitch (Hip-Hop): Russian Something - Youri - Twitch and Joshua are simply hilarious to me!!! So tired of that scream!!! I was not sure what to expect when they said Russian! That was frikin' hot! The height on Joshua's jumps, WOW! Twitch and the floor work, WOW! Amazing dancers! Mary acknowledges that this is 2 hip-hop dancers in the finale! Awesome!

Katee Solo: Contemorary - They talked aobut her honest, but not honest answer about not coming back. They talked about her stoopid dances, which I think are cute! Her favorite dance was No Air because it was the first time on stage. I really didn't care for her solo. The judges advised they will miss her characters as she has been so many this season. I've seen better solos and I expected better so not impressed with her solo.

Twitch (Hip-Hop) & Katee (Contemp): Fox Trot - Tony Meredith & Melonie - Very romantic. Not one of my favorite type of dances as you all know, but it was pretty good. I liked the jazzy feel to the music which made it a little more entertaining for me. The lift was awesome!

Joshua Solo: Hip-Hop - Samba rotine was his favorite. He took classes here and there when he'd offer to help clean up or something, otherwise they didn't have money for classes. He ran track and played football and decided to go with dancing and entertainment route and coaches hated him. Cat called him out on the fact that he cries all the time. Everything is a blessing for him and he's just soaking it all in!! Very well deserved as he proves with that awesome solo. He danced right next to the judges for part of the routine.

Joshua (Hip-Hop) & Courtney (Contemp): Jive- Jason Gilkenson - Again, Jason is very good!! I like his choreography for a style I'm not very fond of at all!! I liked that routine and they executed it extremely well. Amazing dancers and they have proven they have every right to be in the Top 4.

All 4 dancers - Contemporary - Mia Michaels - I didn't really like the kilts, but they still danced great for the amount of routines these 4 guys had to perform tonight!! WOW, the tour is really going to be amazing and just think by that time they will have had time to master these routines even more than they have now!!

I cannot decide on a favorite so I'll just leave it at that and go vote a few times!!

The routines I liked are of course PURPLE.

If I didn't care one way or the other it just stayed TEAL.

I think I'm voting for Twitch and Joshua! I always like their solos and they are just such a breath of fresh air....it's always a contemporary dancer that wins and I would LOVE to see it be a hip-hop dancer!!

I'm hanging around here for a while.....maybe a potty break :) Are you voting??? Who are you voting for???

SYTYCD - Top 6 - Dance Night

Another amazing night of dance!! I thouroughly enjoyed last nights show!!! And I just have to say. I will NEVER be able to watch TV without a DVR!!!! That is the most kewlest thing!!! hehe I must have backed up and watched about another hour of show!!! hehehe Gotta love it!

Tonight's guest judge is Adam Shankman. Director of Hairspray. Sorry this is geting posted so late!! We have been hella busy at work and I just kept getting interrupted. Good news is I fixed my computer... YAH! I'm recording the results now, so I still don't know who's going home. I'll watch when I'm done....Love that DVR!!! hehe

Round 1

Mark (Contemp) & Courtney (Contemp): Vienesse Waltz - Jason Gilkenson -This is a new addition this year as well (choreographer) and he's from DOWN UNDER...hehe Anyway .... this is prolly my most disliked style of ballroom dancing. That whole glide or bounce up and down thing is just boring to me. That being said they look great as a couple and they looked all pretty, but I really hate that dance!!! I won't make this red because it wasn't the dancers. I'm sure they danced it correctly, it's just that even done correctly it gets on my nerves! hehe

Chelsie Solo: Ballroom - I know there really isn't much she can do solo as a ballroom dancer, but she has proven to be a good contemporary dancer as well as Jazz, why can't she work some of this into her routine! I'm so sick of that same ole same ole solo. Not that it isn't any good, just want something different!

Twitch Solo: Hip-Hop - That was frikin' AWESOME! The dude is so tuned into the music. Not to mention the amount of personality that comes across from EVERY performance!!! The fake bling teeth and then the gold lens only glasses. He's just too much personality all balled up in one. Good Job!!!

I had to take a second to mention that NASTY, NASTY, NASTY woman by the name of Cat Deely! DUDE! My husband has a pair of those fake gold teeth and I would NOT put HIS in my mouth without washing them off and stuff first!!! I really hope that was all edited together and they took out the cleaning part. If not that was the NASTIEST thing I have seen someone WILLINGLY do in my life!!!!

Joshua (Hip-Hop) & Katee (Contemp): Contemporary - Tyce Diorio - Wow, wow, and wow!! OMG! Tyce is trying to give Mia a run for her money without the props!!! I cannot believe that this guy has had NO professional training, HUH??? Just naturally good at it!! He and Katee together are simply amazing and entertaining to watch!!!! (Why does Katee get to kiss everybody!??)

Twitch (Hip-Hop) & Chelsie (Ballroom): Mambo - Tony Meredith & Melonie - That was much better than the last Mambo he tried. Of course Chelsie is great in her own genre. You can tell he worked at that and it paid off!

Katee Solo: Contemporary - She tried to change it up a little. I mean a very very little. Otherwise to me, same ole same ole. Not that it isn't good, I just want to see something more at this point. Some personality a little different moves...something!

Josh Solo: Hip-Hop/B-boy - Still pretty original, but getting a little repeatative on some things, but I still like him.

Josh & Katee were my favs from Round 1!!

Round 2

Mark (Contemp) & Courtney (Contemp): Jazz - Sonya - That was right up Mark's alley!!! That was one of the best performances I've ever seen on this show!!! It was dark and creepy, but really interesting!! Perfect for Mark's style! Courtney has proven to step up to what's thrown at her as well.

Joshua (Hip-Hop) & Katee (Contemp): Paso Doble- Jason Gilkenson - I have officially been just dumbfounded!!! Josh is very VERY impressive. Not to take anything away from Katee, but she's been dancing all her life. I'm sure Josh has as well, but he's all self taught from what I understand! Very impressive!! Josh finally got to show his chest and as bad as I talk about ballroom, that was HOT! Katee's dress was SWEET!

Courtney Solo: Contemorary - To me that was prolly her best solo! I liked it over what we've seen so far and for what she's shown us thus far.

Mark Solo: Contemporary - I have to admit, I like his uniqueness. That was prolly his best solo as well. I would not be upset about him making the finale if he did, they are all amazing dancers...the guys when it comes to their solos have always made it really hard!

Twitch (Hip-Hop) & Chelsie (Ballroom): Hip-Hop - Tabitha & Napolean - Chelsie actually did better than I expected! I love Tab & Nap's choreography! They do the type of hip-hop dancing I love to see. I don't always want to watch a "hard" type routine when it comes to hip-hop!! These two fighting over the conductor stick was just very entertaining!! The facial expressions complete! Great Job!!

I think Josh & Katee were my favs from Round 2, but I really liked the hip-hop as well.

The routines I liked are of course PURPLE.

The ones I didn't care for are RED.

If I didn't care one way or the other it just stayed TEAL.

Since I really liked all the partnered routines (for the most part) I decided to go with the solos again. So, I voted for: Twitch, Mark, and Joshua based on solos until I was bored with re-dialing the numbers. I threw in one or two votes for Katee as well. I can't make a guess on who is leaving the show right now (since it's ending now so I'll go watch in a minute) I'll be back in a few hours to post my results. (I hope) I have NO idea who's leaving. Really NO clue!

Be back in a few!

This is the last week I'll be writing my review the NEXT day! Next week I'll be able to write my blog as the show is going on OR right after. I can't wait..hehe!

Comfort: Solo/Hip-Hop/Fox Trot – B2 - This was to be expected.

Mark: Hip-Hop/Solo/Fox Trot – SAFE - Totally and utterly shocked. He has earned it, I will not take anything away from him for not being a fav of mine.

Chelsie: Argentine Tango/Solo/Disco – SAFE

Twitch: Contemporary/Broadway/Solo – B2 - Now I'm totally bummed as I realize that either Twitch or Will is going home this week and Mark is safe!! I cannot believe it!!!

At this point any guy that leaves is an amazing dancer and I'm so bummed that it will be either Twitch or Will :(

Whooooo!!! I soooo needed a cold shower afer that! Didn't listen to the song much, but his dancers were not that good to me......of course I was only watching him!!! whoooo hoooo!!! Deep breathing ...... calm... calm....OK! I'm good!

Eliminated Girl: Comfort Fedoke

Eliminated Guy: Will Wingfield

I'm so shocked that Will actually left the show!!!! He had to be the BEST technical dancer this year, by far!! My husband says there is something HUGE waiting for that man. GOD Bless both you and Comfort and may all your dreams come true!!! There is a World of dance out there and I will be looking for Will in every bit of it!!!

So does Debbie Allen come back as a judge now????
